Surprise, surprise, I am a pharmacist! #1
Sometimes, things that I do not know surprises me.
Like diphenhydramine is an antihistamine. I thought it was an antitussive, expectorant thingy. Isn't that what's Benadryl for?
Simple simple simple things like this..
It's like a a standard 3 kid who doesn't know her ABCs.
I am so amazed by myself.
Did I forget this? Or I simply do not know?
Btw, it can be an antiemetic too.

Drug Info of the day:
Protamine sulphate
Use: Heparin overdose / neutralises heparin effect prior to surgery etc
Administration: 50mg in 5ml to be given over 10 mins via infusion pump
In M'sia, it comes in the reconstituted form, hence, omit the 5ml WFI recon.
